Benefits of Granite Countertops

A self-employed real estate developer, Michael Intoccia has undertaken golf course developments at the Cape Club of Sharon and the Cape Club of Falmouth in Massachusetts. Michael Intoccia has extensive residential real estate development experience, having built over 1,000 homes over the past three decades.

Westwood Estates, one of Mr. Intoccia’s current residential developments, features 10 one-acre lots with 4,000-square-foot homes. Prices for the properties are expected to start at $2 million, due to luxurious amenities that include up to five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and three-car garages as well as hardwood cabinets and granite counters.

Granite, a hard, crystalline rock formed under pressure, is a popular choice for countertops today. The color in granite never fades, and each countertop has a unique aesthetic due to different mineral deposits within. The material offers excellent durability and adds value to a home. Moreover, since granite is nonporous, it provides a sanitary surface perfect for food preparation.
